Wichita State University

Wichita State University

WSU is a public four-year university of 15,003 students. Close to 90% of professors and instructors have doctoral or terminal degrees. The student-to-faculty ratio is about 29 to 1. WSU has six undergraduate colleges: arts and sciences, engineering, fine arts, education, business and health professions. These colleges offer 60 degree programs in more than 200 areas of study. The graduate school offers 44 masters degrees, 10 doctoral programs and three specialist degree programs in more than 100 areas of study.

Friends University is a comprehensive four-year liberal arts institution providing a Christian environment for students of all ages. Friends is the largest, fastest-growing private university in Kansas, with an enrollment of approximately 2,900 students. Friends is organized into three colleges: arts and sciences, business and continuing education. The university offers one associate’s degree program, 46 bachelor’s degree programs and nine master’s degree programs.

NCAT

National Center for Aviation Training

The National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT) was primarily funded and built by Sedgwick County to meet aviation manufacturing workforce demand. Wichita Area Technical College (WATC) serves as the managing partner for the Center, partnering with Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR),to provide industry-driven training courses.
